(If I were to give only one trumpet player, among those activities that can earn the title of genius, Tom Harrell would certainly be at the forefront among the candidates.
In addition to being one of the greatest living jazz soloists, with technique and expressiveness with few parallels, Harrell is a composer of the highest quality and leading a group of the most rehearsed the scene today.
Listening to him in concert is an exciting experience, his solos are able to ignite any musical situation with waves of irrepressible energy.
Harrell is always a heart overflowing with musical talent that enabled him in a few years to be recognized as one of the most stimulating minds of the music scene, always able to give different ideas referring back to the lessons of masters like Freddie Hubbard and Wayne Shorter.)
